This policy explains what information this website collects, what we do with it, and what we don’t do. It is written to be read, not skimmed. If anything here is unclear, ask us through the contact page.
What we collect
The contact form. When you send us a note we receive what you type: your name, company, email address, phone number if you give it, your message, and the timeline option you selected. That is the only information this site asks you for.
The readiness check. The readiness check is scored in your browser. Your answers are not sent to us or to anyone else. If you choose to send your results with a note, the summary you see is added to the contact-form message and reaches us only when you press Send it.
Hosting and server logs. The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel records technical information about requests — IP address, browser type, the pages requested and when — for security, performance and abuse prevention. We don’t use that information to identify visitors.
Fonts. The site’s typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser requests the font files from Google, which means Google receives the technical request information described above. Google’s handling of that request is described in Google’s privacy policy.
What we don’t do
- We don’t set tracking or advertising cookies, and we don’t run third-party analytics or advertising scripts.
- We don’t sell, rent or trade your information.
- We don’t add you to a mailing list or a drip campaign. If you write to us, you hear from a person, and only about what you wrote to us about.
How we use what you send
Only to reply to you and, if you decide to work with us, to do that work. Messages may be delivered to our inbox through a third-party form-delivery service, which processes the submission solely to deliver it to us. We keep your messages for as long as we are in contact with you or as required to meet legal or accounting obligations.
Confidentiality
Owners write to us about companies they have spent decades building, often while a sale is being considered and nobody else knows. We treat everything you share as confidential, and we don’t discuss it with anyone outside BBC unless you ask us to — for example, to introduce you to a broker, attorney or CPA.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us through the contact page and we will respond promptly.
Children
This site is for business owners and isn’t directed at children. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top. Material changes will be noted plainly.
